Birthday Party

We had a fun, FUN party yesterday! Grandparents,(from both sides!) aunts, uncles, and our four favorite cousins came to celebrate the little guy. He loved eating cake for the first time  - he was like, "Mom, why didn't you give me this sooner?!?"

Watch out! Mom and Dad might get a bite of that!

One year old!

Our little guy officially turned ONE yesterday! Wow! How did a whole year go by like that?!? It has certainly been a year of alot of changes - for him and me! :) But all in all it has been a wonderful one. We will be having a party this weekend for him - can't wait! So for now here's a few pics of him walking, with help from daddy. 

Bible LOVE?!?

The other day I gave Eric his Baby Bible during his naptime. 

I had idealistic thoughts of him sweetly sitting in his crib, looking thru the pictures. Instead I found this...

Apparently somebody is really not ready to be unsupervised with his Bible book. As he is taking the term "hungering for the WORD" quite literally!!!

Blanket love

Some babies love their pacifiers, some their bottle, 

and others are happy with a thumb in the mouth.

Eric loves his blankie. The same one he was "swaddled in" as a little newborn. And while the blanket is nice, the tags on the blanket are even better. In fact they are the BEST thing to chew on - in case you didn't know! =)

As of late, our little guy has learned how to make 

"scrunchie faces"...

 ...of course he gets great reactions from everyone for this.  

Which makes him do it ALL the more! 

Celebrating 3 years!

Over the weekend we celebrated our 3-year anniversary in the mountains

We stayed at the Cliff House, in Manitou Springs

It would be worth going back just for dinner - it was amazing!

It was very rainy most of the day, quite reminiscent of Seattle or London. 

Thankfully Bryan remembered our rain jackets so we could venture out - yeah!

To play arcade games!! Yeah, really romantic I know! :)

For some reason Mantiou Springs has tons of old arcade games. 

And I really do mean OLD, some them looked like they were from the 40's!!! 

And they still had OLD prices too, like this one only cost 10 cents to play - way cool!

Then we had fun driving thru the Garden of the Gods...

...not much of a view but we made the most of it!

(p.s. And little Eric did great on his first night away from mommy - 
thank God for grandparents who will babysit!!) 

Basketball Buddies

I found this Nike outfit for Eric and just couldn't pass it up. When I brought it home, Bryan realized that it was the opposite of his basketball outfit. What a coincidence! :)
