Mechanics at Work

Bryan knew that we needed to replace the timing belt on our '93 Lexus but was waiting for a good weekend to "carve out some time". We had heard it was not an easy undertaking and I was kind of dreading the process for a number of reasons. First - last time we had a car repair it took much longer than either of us had anticipated which was frustrating. This was partly because you can easily take things apart, but you really have to know what you're doing to put it back together. Two - even after you've put it all back together the BIG question is, will the car run?? If not, you have to go back through your work again to figure out the problem. Ok, so all of that may seem obvious. But I just had to share my "mechanical observations" with you, since I have alot of experience in this area. (just kidding!)

Thankfully, Bryan had the help of Steven, a CSU engineering major, who also goes to our church. Steven has done this repair numerous times so he was a great help to Bryan and guided him through the entire process.

Success at last - in only 1 1/2 days! Thank you, God!

And I feel relieved to have this repair behind us now.
Thanks, hubby for ALL your hard work - I so admire you for sticking it out!
